Re: tiny tach

I emailed tiny tach with the same type of question and they never responded to me.

Re: tiny tach

Wouldn't this be the correct one?

TT226NR-1C Model for single or twin cylinder engines with a spark firing every 180 degrees of the engine crankshaft.
Jet skis generally use 1C.
Exception: 3 cylinder Jet Skis generally use our special "2X" model
Multi (4) CYL=1c wrapped around coil wire.
Note You cannot reset, hours will accumulate.

http://www.tinytach.com/tinytach/gasoline.php

Re: tiny tach

I *think* what is best is TT226R-2XLR (which is like TT226NR-2C but has some filter on it or something). Tinytach is notorious for failing to respond to emails, but whoever calls their 1-800 number seems to go on to sing their praises.
1C does work, but you have to wrap the pickup around both spark plug leads for it to work.

Hope that helps you!
