So, After running my (1 year old to me) 76' Starcraft for a year with no issues, I decided to replace the trailer tires before we get out on the road again this year. Apparently 7.0x13 Bias can get a stunned silenced or quite a chuckle out of every tire place I could find.
My question is this on the load rating. The wheel/tire combo I am looking to buy has a rating of 1100# per tire/wheel (B Rating)
1. Trailer is a Shoreline V18-20 = 2000# load capacity - 545 total Weight
2. Boat is 965 Dry. 18 Gal fuel tank.
3. Misc gear, cooler etc.
I can't seem to find any reason to go from the B-Rating 1100 lbs per tire (2200# for the total load) to the C-Rating 1360 lbs per tire. When the price difference is over $150. (Not alot, I know, but every bit is counting nowadays)
I figure the tires cover the trailer load capacity anyways, am I cutting it too close?
any thoughts?
