i noticed my tires looked a little low. I stopped and checked and yes a little low. so I filled them up to MAX pressure.50. after on the road for about 10 miles POP.... blew a tire... the tread was GREAT. was traveling on the hiway. so by the time I got pulled to side tire was shot. I couldn't tell If there was anythign in tire. But I'm wondering, did I exceed tire pressure ? why would it blow ?

Tire pressure shy now.

What was the manufacture date of the tires? How much time have the been outside exposed to UV?

you may have damaged them with low air pressure before you stopped to inflate

Yup, the only logical explanation. Normal inflation=Integrity.

As they said... Low pressure kills tires.... It allows the sidewalks to flex too much and become weak.... If they were all that low you can expect a fair chance that they are all about to blow.... Check tire pressure regularly... Don't wait till they look low.

Thx..... this was a werid one to me. The boat is 10 years old. keep inside. I was too thinking maybe old tires. I looked but getting older hell I cant see anything anymore........ Think I'll replace all the tries just to be on the safe side..... after I changed to the spare. it looked a little low too. But I didn't dare put air in it...... also after I stopped, after driving for while the tire felt VERY hot. to the touch...... the other one didn't feel that hot.......... Guess it was an older tire. and or weather exposure, thanks guys

There is your answer.....PUT AIR IN IT!! It ain't a balloon. Max pressure is a drop in the bucket compared to the heavy load your putting on it

The reason it was hot is because it was low... You were flexing the sidewall at high speed far enough to heat up the tire...

Imagine if a force was flexing your skin fast and far enough to get it that hot.... You would pop too!
