Ever have a flat? On my trailer, I have lug nut bolts, not lug nuts. Try and line up the holes with the rim and the wheel, it's a *****.
Here is the answer. Purchase two bolts the same size and thread count as your lug bolts. Cut off the heads. When you have to change the tire because of a flat. Screw in the two bolts, finger tight into the wheel holes and put on the new rim. This will hold the holes in line so that you can then put in the lug bolts. then, take out the temporary bolts and put in the final lug bolts.
Just wanted to share a quick solution.

I've been there and know exacly what you mean, but my dinky 12" rims aren't bad to jiggle around one handed. Great trick though for those heavier wheel and tire combos.
