Like ShaneCarroll says, thread fishing line around your slip - preferably high up on the pilings. They find it hard to navigate around and will eventually not land there. Works around swimming pools as well.
We also use this trick on our freshwater lake to keep ducks and geese off the dock walkway. A slippery stinky mess, for sure.

actually I'm tired of all the hippies who say NO dont kill the poor little birdies. GET A JOB. I'm tired of cleaning the crap off my boat.

Well, I am not a hippie and in fact I am not even that much of an animal lover, I just think you are ridiculous for reacting this way over a little bird crap. Like I said, go get another hobby, perhaps quilting would fit your demeanor better...

Im tired of these birds crapping all over my boat and bimini and dropping little stinking sea foods into the boat. I want to kill all these birds. What is the best poison for seagulls? How do you deal with them

When I worked on the river we used to break off pieces of Alka Selser and toss it for the seagulls, Its mean, but you will never get rid of them, they would follow our boats for miles, I would toss bread up and they would catch it in mid-air and then they thought it was funny to toss up Alka selser, I know its cruel!! To watch them eat the peices and then their stomachs would expand and they would hit the water, We were bored i guess. Now I am not telling you to do the same, Oh No I wouldn't do that!!

I put spikey things around a parapet on a 5 story bldg. The pros said it would keep them away. Nope... They just nested right next to them. Slippery mess and then if they nest, you have to let them be by law.

The hanging prism / hologram looking thing works well for a small areas, like 1000-2000 sf. I abandoned that idea as I was dealing with acres of rooftop... But it might work hanging on a pole above a boat!
