OMG- how ironic? I wonder if his CD was playing chamber music as it went down?

Not funny. I wonder where the 6" hole came from.

It always amazes me how people can make fun out of someone else's misfortune.

The humor comes from the irony. No one was injured in the incident. As far as finding humor in others misfortune, seems to be human nature. If people did not find humor in theses situations "slap stick" humor would have never existed.

You are correct, What I mean by funny is the comments and the way it was written. For this poor guys mishap, it is not funny but at least all is well but the boat.

can you imagine the thought process when naming that boat. Had it been here in Alabama im sure a couple of good'ens were sitting around, drinking high life saying we should name her Titanic II, that will get some laughs!

Eh, maybe, but a woman would have had to tell 'em to add the II ;)

Slapstick is a planned performance, LT. I have never appreciated it. Giggling over someone's bad fortune is just plain cruelty, and yes, I agree that people are cruel when they think they can get away with it.

As a dyed-in-the-wool cynic, my first thought was that this was done purposely.

I've got no problem with laughing at my own misfortunes. It doesn't take much to carry over to others.
