Titl/Trim water in reservoir

This forum has helped me alot, I have another problem. My trim/tilt reservoir has water, the boat is in slip, I see no oil leaking out side on back of boat, my t/t platic reservoir has a hole on lid that screws to reservoir, my trim/tilt reservoir is on deck by rear seat, I have crownline 94, 5.0, 210ccr.
I am wondering from where the water is coming? any hose leaking by drive, but shouldn't water be sucked in when you trim drive up or down? I dont do that, only time I use trim when I take boat out to clean bottom every two months. HELP

Re: Titl/Trim water in reservoir

I'm thinking you may have a small leak in a hydraulic fitting outside the hull; the depth may push a bit of water in over time. (and leak a bit of oil when you operate trim)
Next time you have it out for cleaning, dry the hoses/fittings off, operate the trim up-down a few times, then see if there's any oil showing?
