title info needed

I bought 12ft aluminum row boat and a trailer at a yard sale a few months ago. No title on either one, I hear that I can register both as homemade if I'm not mistaken. I live in Florida, I've been on the tax county web site and saw a form for this. Any input would be helpful. Thanks

take the trailer (without) to a public scale, have it weighed and get a weigh certificate, usually $10.00. that's all you need for the trailer, for the boat, i registered several homemade, they are going to ask for tax reciepts, i just say it was built from construction scrape. her's the info.

I live in Florida as well.No need to take the trailer to scales,Go to the local dmv tax collection office and tell them the trailer is under 300 lbs, they will give you a registration and tag on the spot,You only have to weigh if its over 300 lbs.As far as the boat tilte goes go to ITS title (Google) or Broadway title.You will be able to obtain one from them.It's that easy.I have done this numerous times.

The boat I have has no HIN or reg. #s anywhere on it, I looked. I stripped it of old paint . ITS Title wants more info than I can provide. I think this boat was made before the required HIN#... The idea for the trailer sounds good Thanks!
