Title says 69 but boat is a 65 I think? starcraft arrow

I purchased a 1969 starcraft last week ,I wasnt even sure which starcraft it was, a member here said it ws a 65 arrow which i believe it to be, the vin # is star63W053 it came with a 63 evinrue 40HP big twin The title says so why would the title say 69 ?

Does the vin start with "star" or 63? If 63, are they spaced slightly away from the rest? As for the title, oven a previous owner would have guessed as to age when registering it. With mine, the PO did not see the hull plate so had the state make up a new hull number for her!!

Does anyone know if the Arrow was a one year only or did they make it in 69?

The VIn is (STAR63W1053) IS it possibly a 63, I looked up the Motor it is a 63?

Have you looked through the Starcraft brochures? Im not sure, but tonight after work ill look through my '69 brochure and see if its listed. That vin does kinda make it seem like a '63... whatever year it is it sure looks nice!

If it is anything like cars, sometimes they sat on the lots for a couple years and when they registered them, the title had the year registered as the year vehicle. Just a thought.

Here's the 63 brochure Page 7 and the lower right seems to show the Arrow in the colors of your SC. I sampled some other years and '66 still had the Arrow and '67 and '62 don't. I looks like the Arrow was produced '63-'66. No idea why yours is titled as a 69 unless it was a leftover leftover. the SC S/N sure indicates a '63. Is the HIN no. on the title, on the BIA tag or both? Have you found that no. on the boat?
