TNT Failure: just click sound

Went to raise the my motor from an all the way down position. As normal I hit the up button at the switch I installed by the motor and only got a faint click. Hit the down button and it operated normally. Just in case, I went to the dash mounted switch got the same results. I tried to switch the relays but no change. Since I can't raise it manually with the TNT installed, I was stuck. What gives? Why only the click sound for up and normal sounding for down? What's the fix? Thanx.

Replace both relays. Relay are standard 5 pin relays available at electric supply stores. Me? I collect a bunch of them when I go to the auto junkyard.

There should be quick-connectors on the motor leads. in an emergency, disconnect both. Jumping green to positive and blue to negative will lower the engine. Blue to positive and green to negative will raise it.

As an explanation, both relays are normally at default ground. Energizing one relay puts it to positive. Current flows from the positive through the motor and back to ground at the default relay. If the high current contacts are burned or corroded, the solenoid will close them but no current will be able to flow. You will hear the click of the solenoid but the motor will not work.

Update... I replaced the relays and had the same problem so it figured it had to be the wiring. Sure enough the butt connect for the Blue (UP direction) wire to the relay was loose. Lesson learned though. Frank brought up a good point that the connections for the blue and the green should actually be quick connects so that I can jump the wires directly to the battery in case I have a future failure. Went ahead and put in the quick connects. Done. Thanks Frank.

I have a Three-wire TNT so do I just need to power either the blue OR green wire to make it go up or down? If I ground one wire while powering the other what would happen? (Seriously... I haven't tried it yet, but I just want to make sure before I do it as a field test).
