To all my online friends:
This has been the hardest week of my life. It is always sad when a teen takes his own life. And having this hit so close to home, I can really empathize with anyone whos suffered through that experience, or knows someone who has. As the priest who officiated over the funeral Mass said today, Only Sean and God know why he took his life. We wont know why until the day when all questions are answered, at the time of our death. It is only then when well have the closure we all desperately seek. For those interested, we still grieve deeply, we still do not understand, and we miss our loved one. But with the funeral now behind us, we will all begin to heal just a little every day.
But the reason Im posting this is not to be profound or prophetic. No, friends, the reason Im here is to express my deepest thanks and appreciation to everyone who showed their sympathies, shared their experiences, volunteered their help and offered their prayers for me and my family during this most-awful time. You know who you are. Each of you is blessed, and I ask God to continue to bless and protect each and every one of you, and your families. Thank you!
With deepest gratitude,
Seans Uncle/Godfather Brian & Aunt Karen
