wouldn't know since fiberglass doesn't rust or have leaky reevits people just restore them!

I would'nt know I've never had to scrap one. I've always repaired em. Only the "Tin Can's" get holes that are unrepairable and seams that Reeevits can't fix no matter how much Gluvit you use. ( By the way Gluvit is Epoxy Resin just like in Glass Boats)

My boat is 50 yrs old and looks brand new, after some Sanding, Glassing and Painting.

Tin Boats Faster to Restore IF, no major damage to the hull. Major Hull Damage = Scrap Heap

Glass Boats you can fix just about anything.

This ^^^ too is wrong. Beer is best consumed from Glass not Tin Cans!!!! Aged in Copper vats then Bottled not canned. Never liked the "Tinny" taste. Hmmm, I wonder what it would taste like coming from an ice cold Gelcoated vessel????

Quite a few. Most new commercial airliners are composite, a form of FG.

close friend of mine builds custom experimental airplanes and he does it all in fiberglass...New wildlife conservation act prohibits newer planes from being made of aluminum so the birds don't get cut when they look at it.
