I noticed that too... and he looks very calm and reserved. Not waiving for help; Barely even wet; Just sittin' there chillin' taking in the view.

Re: to all my tinny friends !

Sorry, had to chime in...
Being that it is a glasser, it is still actually floating while he calls his wife to let her know that he will be a little late for dinner...
If however it had been a tinny, not only do the reevits let water in, but they would have let all of the air out of the pocket and he would be swimmin...:p
hehehehe...

That right there is a happy tinny guy, staking claim to the running gear of another dead/sunken glasser.

Running through his mind:
#1 get it home ASAP
#2 pickle the engine
#3 remove engine and drive
#4 cut up the hull and throw it in the dumpster
#5 install running gear in my perfectly good 1970's tinny

#6 Bang a bunch of reevits and spend months looking for leaks
#7 STILL fail to get any attractive women on his boat

Decide awww, what the heck...
#8 Become a more respectable glasser dude, take this baby home, drain, dry, and end up with a better looking, chick attracting, smooth running, better equipped, more stylish, glass boat that all the chicks would rather ride in cause it aint gonna cut ya and ruin a perfectly good tan line:rolleyes:...plus if makes them itchy, they will just have to strip/tear all their clothes off so you can scratch their "itches"

A tinny owner would be wearing his PFD because of the leaky reevits. Forewarned is forearmed. I notice the lack of a bevy of bathing beauties bobbing in the vicinity. Must have been rescued by a tinny owner.

My $1000 tinnie from 1976 didn't leak when I bought it. After the full resto, it doesn't leak a drop now either. Not a SINGLE DROP.

iboats quote of the week.

As an alternative there are some wily guys around here that will boast of having these silly little tin boats. Don't engage them, don't make eye-contact, don't even let them hand you their little religious pamphlet. Just walk away :D

I'm a glass guy as most of you know, but there is nothing wrong with the tinny's. I just perfer the quieter ride of glass.

This is why both type are made...different strokes for different folks.

Took a ride to the boneyard to scalp a few trailer items, every boat there was a glasser

The prize winner was the one with the plants growing out of the deck.

True, for glasser folks

Tinheads call it a 1/2 days work, at most.

At least when a Tinhead says "take your top off", they aren't referring to removing the top cap of a fiberglass beauty to expose the ugly that lies beneath. Don't forget your HazMat suit!

If I ran bass boats like you do, it would be unlikely I'd have an aluminum one as they are mostly those mod-V ones which I think are ugly as sin.

um......yeah.......a few reasons for this.......

1. the glass boats were WORTH keeping.

2. the tin boats were turned back into what they were made from.....beer cans !

3 glass boat guys needed the beer cans for all the chicks they get on the more beautiful, more seaworthy, more elegant, more easy to get chicks in, nicer, more common, more socially accepted, more politically correct, fibreglass boats.

4 the boat with the flora in them is just another creative idea to show case the beauty of these boats.
