Re: To All New England Members

One of my friends lives in Mystic about 50 feet from the bridge/harbor. I have spent some time on Lake Winnepasaukee, and all around New England. If you love that charm, there are tons of places you can find it here!

leave the boat at home, it will bog down the trip. Fall is the best time to visit, rates are low, weather best, and crowds are low. the cape can be unaccessable in summer.

As far as hotel prices, Farecast beta has a nice hotel and price search feature. If you need the link to them PM your email address to me and I will send it to you.

New England is beautiful. We enjoyed our week in Stowe VT a couple summers ago and are looking forward to heading to NH or Moosehead lake maybe this summer or next.

........so I thought they were going to change the name of that to EZ Pork? :D

Truth is that budget deficits only have two real solutions: raise taxes or cut spending. Lately the trend has been to raise taxes, but in ways that don't sound as much like a tax; EZ Pass for example. State garnered income in any form is, in its banal end, a tax.

I think we are not supposed to be political (in this forum) so we should probably re-orient this thread before it gets that way.

A boat-centric tour of some part of New England is a quintessential pleasure whether one is from the northeast or not. :):)

I have not traveled extensively but I have been up and down the east coast a few times. However, there are so many great things to see and experience so close to home for me that every year it seems the kids and I have regrets of places we haven't made it too. They more than me since they also have amusement park aspirations  which I couldn't care less about.
