@ Kgronseth....Yup we must have been looking at many of the same ads. And yes, that guy with the yamaha...WTH? he was lost in some land of (I don't give a F***) haha he did the same to me. Anyways, am glad I didn't buy that heavy *** motor. Nice job and good luck with that Evinrude you picked up. Could make a movie after him called the Craigs List Liar hahaha (crack myself up)

Have a great day everyone! Off to work! 13 hours today and then again tomorrow and Sunday till 6!

@Captain Caveman......Thanks and yes maybe we will. My GF and I fish quite a bit off of Hwy 22 (Viking Blvd) up in the Ham Lake Area. And yes, isn't it great that we have so many lake resources here in our back yard?

Heading off to work.....have a great day!

@Pony,

Not to one up you but both Western WI and MN have wonderful lakes. Add both the great lakes and we both have millions of fishable waters!

Have a great day!

@Erwin,

MY GF is all good now with my plans :D.....Most women in my experience always come around. They just jump off the cliff when we bring up our ideas at first and then climb back up hehe.....Sorry but I did not take any pics yet. Yesterday I tore the wood off the transom (Rotted), took the boat off the trailer, removed all trailer lights and wiring, and raised the bunks and rollers a bit. Well actually am in the middle of all this but since I have to work today - Sunday I won't be able to get back at it until next week. Need to have it all back together by May 8th end of day. Problem is I am leaving town to hit the Outer Banks of North Carolina to go see my new grand daughter (Born April 24th) on May 3rd - 7th....So all in all I have a ton of work to do with no time to do it.....Life story right?

Have a great day and happy boating!

Oh welcome to grand parenthood!! I have two and my grand daughter will be 4 in a few weeks.

I get just so much enjoyment watching my son be a Dad and knowing the trials and tribulations associated with the task.

You will find others with much more expertise than me, but I repainted my '68 Lund last summer. Not a perfect paint job, but pretty good for a first timer, good enough for me at least. Here is my thread: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=496835 Final pics aren't great since they were done in shadows. I live in Lakeville, you'd be welcome to come check it out if you are interested in seeing what an amatuer paint job from a first timer looks like.

We'll see about that. One year and counting since I bought and brought my bass boat home without permission from She Who Must Be Obeyed/CINC-Home. I still "hear" about it regularly, but throughout 28 years of wedded bliss, I've always lived dangerously :)

@ Lowe170,

Nice!!!!! Living dangerously with the woman that is :D

What are they going to do? Start mowing the lawn, shoveling the drive way (in snow country) repairing everything that needs it and stop shopping with our hard earned dollar? Blah! Not! It is my luck that I found a woman that asks me if and when are we going fishing, mows the lawn sometimes (me the other times) and does not ask me about my money and I don't ask her about hers.....Again the part I love is her in a bikini top and a ball cap with a fishin rod in her hands.....#IGOTLUCKYLUCKYLUCKY and truly believe that!:cool:

@kgronseth,

Thanks for the info...Now I am like wth? do I really want to get into this much work repainting or not? Wish I had more garage space to set it up, heat the garage and do it in the winter months...Ugh! Maybe I can go steal a Morton Building haha...However I have enough property to put it on just not the extra $ to buy one....Btw I am VERY impressed with your completed repaint...NICE!!!

<<.....Now the funniest part....My GF gets home from work yesterday and comes in the house and she is like whose boat is that? I say it's mine. She says two boats? I said yup.....after explaining my entire plan to her she was like oh, that is smart .... >>

The best part of this ordeal is that, if you ever decide to get married for whatever reason, she'll continue to be very reasonable and understanding. ;-)
