73 merc 650 .......2 carbs<br />What is a fair price for a carbereutor rebuild and a fuel pump rebuild?<br />and if i supplied the parts?<br /><br />thanks guys, just dont wanna get the shaft!!!!!!

labor 3 to 4 hours, depends on which carb kit 6-45 dollars each, fuel pump kit is about 25.

You will likely get one of two responses taking someone elses parts to a shop. 1) They may say "no warranty" (and I don't blame them), or 2) I won't do the job unless we use our parts. Who gets the grief if the parts you supply are not quality pieces. Try going to Rapid Oil Change with your own oil and filter.

Let me guess. You bought the parts figuring you'd just do it yourself until you saw how much of the motor had to be taken apart just to get at the stupid things. If it weren't for that, it'd be an easy job.

No .......I bought the parts with intentions of sending it to the mechanic..........I would love to learn to do it but afraid of screwing something up<br /><br />FYI it cost 273.82 to have the rebuilds done in Wichita Falls, Texas

I know a couple of places that are less expensive, but you would have to come to Ft. Worth.
