To lubricate control cables

I found a way.

A length of 3/8"ID clear plastic tubing slipped over each end of the OMC-3300 Teleflex cables I use makes a nice snug fit. I connected one end to an A/C service vacuum pump, dipped the other end in WD-40 and let the vacuum pull it through. I exercised the cable, did WD-40 again, then drew a thin anti-corrosion lube through it.

Worked great.

great if you have an A/C pump, but good to know. the outside sheaths usually go where exposed to the sun.
