To move steering console or not Help

I was thinking of moving the steering console forward on a 72 Chrysler 16' bass runner, will moving it and the seats forward 3' cause the boat to be nose heavy and will it affect performance, i'm running a 70hp Johnson tilt and trim

It will most definitely be nose heavy, etc. A shift of 3 feet is a bunch on a 16 foot boat! You can ask everybody to sit on the floor 3' ahead of where they normally sit and test this for yourself.<br /><br />Kelly Cook

Agreed. And the weight counts 'double' as you at the same time remove it from the initial position and add it to the new.

Thanks for the help i didn't know it made that much difference, but stopping the think of it I would be moving the weight of the console, seats and underseat storage and the weight of two people forward, thanks for the info.
