Hello snowb67891
I don't know what it's like in Washington but it might be cheaper to have your trailer hot dip galvanised instead!
Just a suggestion
Ross

Ross is right. The trailer will rust from the inside out-where you can't see it. If you have box channels on the trialer; read closed. THe best thing you can do less having it dipped is to make sure there are drain holes in these channels. Some auto rustproofing shops may be able to spray a product inside the chanels to help eliviate the situation.

No trailer will last forever in salt. Aluminum holds up better than most but they are not cheap.

A cheap alternative to coating the inside of your trailer is to make a 50/50 mix of gasoline and STP or some other engine honey and drill several holes in the trailer frame.
Do this outside where you have plenty of ventilation. Using a one quart spray gun ajusted for a fine spray, saturate the inside of the trailer frame by spraying into the drilled holes. The holes will also allow water to drain out.
Richard RG
