To pinstripe, or not to pinstripe...that is the question.

Been working on-and-off (mostly off) on my '84 Basstracker 17'. On a short note, I've installed a new Minn Kota Powerdrive unit, replaced all the old carpeting and seats and casting chairs, installed a "doel-fin" on my outboard and added a few fishing related goodies like rod holders and such. One thing that always bothered me was the old dated orange and brown vinyl BassTracker stickers that were emblazened on the sides. So, after removing them with some aggressive automotive paint stripper I also took the extra step to wet-sand and buff the hull back to an almost mirror finish. (Yes, it was a pain the the butt.)

However, now I am faced with the dilemma on what to do with the bare sides. They do look nice by themselves, but I think that some tasteful pinstriping and perhaps a new Basstracker logo would put a finishing touch on everything. What do you guys think?

Also, I know the sides aren't going to keep that mirror shine forever. Can anyone recommend a good aluminum sealer or wax that will help keep the hull looking great.

Thanks in advance!

I resolved it by getting a set of stripes designed for a Sea Ray boat on Ebay. They only cost $17.99 and if you don't use the model number supplied, should fit most boats.
