Mother nature must be having a midlife crisis, we just suffered a record 122f (52c) day, and I'm 1000's of miles away from the tropics.

Re: Todays ICE/SNOW Storm

I was just watching the weather channel. They just posted that Mansfield has broken the record snowfall for January at 44". I knew we got a lot of it, cuz my back sure feels it. :D

The ice storm in KY has set new records of the most without power in the states history. I can sympathize with them from my town going through a major ice storm a few years back. Its not just the power being out that makes it rough, but all the trees blocking the roads as well as the ice making it hard to get around. At least snow can be plowed out of the way, but ice either has to be chiseled off or wait for it to melt.

I saw people camping out inside Lowes/home depot waiting for delivery of generators in Kentucky. They were told it may take up to one month to restore power to remote areas. I can only imagine the hardship caused by the storm.....

What's really sad is that it has to be bad for Spinners family. Hope they do well out of this.
