Hi guys, thought you may have an idea. I need to increase out trim onm my manual tilt outboard. I want it to almost shallow water drive level. I had a choc made up to mount the motor on the boat with at an angle but the clamps arn't wide enough to allow this. Also tried a round bit of wood that I drilled a hole down the middle and put the tilt pin through to make the pin thick allowing for more angle. This works ok but the wood starts wearing through. Any other ideas?

You can buy ready made trim wedges that give you around 5 or 8 degrees...or you could use two wedges on each side and double that.

So these wedges increase "out" trim NOT "in" trim right? You know where I can buy them and what they cost? Thanks.

Correct. They are an aftermarket item that should be available from any marine supplier.

Or add a power trim like a cmc unit.

Thanks for the help. I don't believe I didn't know about the wedges. Got a pair today for $75. As for the power trim idea it would be nice but I can't afford any extra weight.
