Got a two hour test in today finally with the elephant ear prop and max rpm I saw was 5970 rpm. Most of the time it ran at 5850. Ran great and definitely at around 3500 rpm seem to be a nice spot for pushing.
So going down 2 pitches from an 8 prop achieved + 480 wot rpm, that's 240 rpm per one less pitch. Lightly loaded the motor will rev high towards max wot rpm factory stated, did you tried the other standard prop at wot ? Will be interesting to check what's the wot rpm difference between both 6 props.

The standard prop almost got 5500 rpm. But the new elephant ear prop held on plane better at 5850 rpm in a small 13 foot fishing boat lightly loaded. Hit some weeds in the shallows which got wrapped around the prop and I was surprised how it affected the prop at WOT. Figured it out quick enough though....unlike a YouTube video I saw of a guy that had to get towed in due to bow line wrapped around prop and he didn't discover it until boat pulled out of water.

So the standard prop only achived 5500 wot revs at max throttle, right ? If so there's a 350 wot rpm difference between both 6 props. Interesting to see that an ear elephant prop besides powering much better also achieved a higher wot rpm. Anything entangled on the prop will slow the wot rpm dramatically along changing the motor noise level.
