I will be taking the boat to Flaming Gorge and wonder if the jet that works fine at sea level will need changing for trolling at 6000'.

Does anyone have experience with this issue? Any help appreciated.

Even with suitable carburetor jetting, an engine loses 3.5 % power each one thousand feet in altitude, so will lose about 21% total power at 6000 feet high. The affect of altitude on horsepower lose will be greater than this % if no carburetor modification is made at all. No need to change jets if going from sea level to high altitude for short time periods use, engine definitely will peform/behave much different compared to sea level use. A matter to test at trolling speeds, good luck!!

Happy Boating
