I just recently picked up a 2004 tohatsu 9.8hp 4stroke outboard. It could use a new prop. The problem is I can't find any numbers on the prop, anywhere!

I'm wondering if there is an easy way to measure and get the pitch? I'm confident I can figure the diameter on my own, hehe. I have not removed the prop from the motor....could the numbers be hidden where I can't see them?? Thanx for the help!

Many times the prop size is stamped on the hub where you cannot see it unless you remove the prop.

Look close on the blades, on one I owned it was molded into one of those, like a 9 or a 11 or a 15, some thing like that

Well I was about to pull the prop and looked on the forward face of one of the blades towards the hub and cast or molded into the prop (not stamped like I've seen on all the other props I've ever dealt with) there was a "F8. " not sure what came after F8, but I'm guessing 8 pitch prop??
