I have a the 90 TDLI Tohatsu last weekend this problem started out of no where. when we try to start the engine it just keeps rolling over with out cranking up. Well we notice fuel leaking into the water so we opened up the calin and it was shooting out of a hole in the line so we go towed in and fixed the hose. Motor started on the trailer we thought we were good. The next morning we put boat in water didnt want to start again. To boat out of water and was messing with it and it started up on the trailor put it back in the water again didnt want to start. Then took it out of the water and it cranked right up again on the trailer kind of weird. Well we finally got her running and fished our tournament. She started up the first few moves we made and the last spot we fished she didnt want to startup and fuel was gushing out of the fuel line again at the connection. Took the motor in to get fixed they said they fixed the issue a loose wire on the harness. Well I got on the water today and it didnt want to start up and is pulling the same thing not sure what it is. Sorry to bother you but I am trying to prefish for a tournament that is next weekend and all dealers are closed that I am trying to get ahold of im desperate right now.

Not to hijack this away from Elvin, but...

What model is it? There is a revision to the fuel line routing on some models.

What fuel line was leaking? How was it repaired? You do realize that the pressures involved are above 80 PSI, right?

OK I replaced the hose with the correct one for the pressure rating on it. The problem was a wiring harness on the engine was fried some how or another. It was causing the High Pressure pump not to work correctly if at all and the check valve wasnt allowing flow through it and backing up the fuel to blow out of the tops of the hoses. I also guess that is what caused the first hose to get hole into it. Tohatsu sent a harness and whatever it took to fix the issue. Everything was installed and boat is ready for my tournament this weekend hopefully ;)

The only difference in having it in the water, is that it is well grounded. Your wiring harness may have had a small short. Glad you got it going.:D
