Re: Tohatsu MD50 any questions

I am pretty convinced that TLDI is the way to go......I have seen a few forums where people are suggesting a loss of top speed after going to TLDI - mainly with the 90's....but also a few with 50HP are saying similar. Is this substantiated?
There are also conflicting fuel consumption reports with no one giving black and white comparisons....From my research it seems they are fairly thrifty overall - but have different consumption rates throughout the rev range when compared to a four banger.
As i will be purchasing a Tiller I would be interested in remote mounting the multi purpose tacho....and perhaps the trim/tilt switch - Is this esy enough to do? Is the tacho as expensive as poison?
I have searched all over the net for a picture of a tiller handle on an MD50 and failed badly to find one....can you help?

You really need to contact the distributor or a dealer in your own country for detailed assistance. As to what people in forums say....I would call them unsubstantiated blowhards for the most part. Consumers rarely can be trusted for any kind of accurate comparison as they have limited experience across brands, models and years.
