I've got a 2015 MFS50A tiller model that has been used for a little over 200 hours. Just recently it started to feel like it has a minor power loss while cruising at mid to upper rpm that last for a couple seconds each time it happened. The last time I noticed it happening it lasted a lot longer than a few seconds and that happened after I switched over to another 12 gallon gas tank. Fuel line has a new water separator that I installed a couple weeks ago but I didn't have an extra so I ran the motor without one for a couple days until the new water separator arrived in the mail. I did switch out the prop a few weeks ago that hit some ice a couple times, enough to have the motor turn off by itself but, I don't know if that would be relevant. Any ideas on why it would lose power intermittently?

Before hitting the ice several times, was the motor running strong an even at speed ?

Does squeezing the ball continuously prevent the problem? I'm wondering if you have an air leak somewhere in the gas line between the tank and the fuel pump.

I didn't even think of squeezing the bulb when the problem arose because it only lasted a couple seconds each time until the last time when it lasted for more than a few seconds. I'll try switching out the prop and if the problem persists I'll try squeezing the bulb when it happens.

Priming the bulb only works well when the motor tends to die of fuel starvation, if priming again and again repetitively and the motor springs back to life each time , the fuel pump its working all right.

If you squeeze hard the bulb till firm as a rock, check if there's any fuel spills at both connectors sides, if any there's no air leak at least on the entire fuel line.
