The motor is a 2007 Tohatsu 30hp.
This is a friends boat and I am trying to help him out.
The oil light self checks, and the backlight works but the tach does not move. I checked all the connections and they are all clean and tight.
Two things that I noticed when looking at the boat were that he had sprayed the entire boat down and somehow got the entire underside of the dash wet. Could he have shorted something out? And he also messed up the firing order and ran it for a few minutes (Amazingly it ran extremely well on one cylinder)! Could he have fried the rectifier or something else by doing this?
Thanks....
