I bought a 2003 regal 2465 and the first few times I have used it the toilet has worked fine. Now it will pump out to the holding tank fine, but it wont pump in raw water for flushing. Boat has one of those Jabsco manual pump toilets. Any ideas of my broblem?

Yes. Had the same exact issue with my Jabsco last season. You need a new pump (about $60) or a pump rebuild kit (about $50.) I sprang for the full pump and it was an easy, 15-minute (including mopping up the spilled water) swap-out. Flush the toilet a few times with fresh water before you pull out the old pump.

Another quesion, the seacock or whatever ya call it (looks like a ball valve) for the toilet intake is at the bottem of the hull is this a one way valve? Or will water drain back out after your done pumping?

Hmmm. Not sure, but I never have to pump and pump to get water into the toilet, so it doesn't seem to 'drain out' between uses.

(and yes, pump replacement really is that easy. I was pretty surprised )

Neither. The Seacock is not a 1 way valve. If you haul the boat onto land and open the seacock the water will drain out. However, because it is about 1 foot below the waterline, the water pressure from dispacement will prevent water from draining out the seacock at all. If you removed the hose from the seacock and opened the seacock, you would see a geiser of water entering the bilge.

The water will push up to the water line. i'd suspect that the water line is close to the bottom of the toilet. The water will not drain from the bowl back to the seacock however, if that is what you're asking.
