Too big of a trailer?

Hey gang - Still working on my father-in-law's bass boat. Trying to find a replacement trailer now. I found one that was originally for a bow rider. Length should be ok, but I am concerned about the width. There will be an extra 1.5" on each side vs the current trailer. Is this a big deal? In my mind I am thinking not. I know I can adjust or replace the bunks/brackets to match what the original trailer has. Thoughts from the group? GOOD trailers around here are hard to find! Most are in the same or worse condition than my father in laws....or they want a mint for it....

*Edit* I guess when I replace the plywood on each fender I could double it up to take up the extra distance?

I'd just adjust the bunks to fit the boat and move on. I wouldn't bother with taking up the extra gap - gives ya extra wiggle room for those less than stellar retrievals.
