Goodness those numbers seem like a nice cool front compared to south texas the last 2.5 months lol, been triple digits for quite a while.

Re: Too hot to grill

Saw on local NEWS last night that DFW (50 miles East of The Hideout) had the hottest June on record with average daily high of 97 point something degrees and 7 days over 100.

Daytime temps here were consistently 3-5 degrees hotter than DFW and I remember only one day in June that it didn't top 100. Our average high had to be over 100.

We got 2.25" of rain in June.:(

Dear Mother Nature: I promise, cross my heart and hope to die, that I will never again ridicule or make jokes about global (well, at least Hideout) warming if you will, please, please, return us to normal temps.

Yes, it is really hot way over here in Dallas. Doing things in the morning and late evening and staying inside a lot in between. If this was June, I can't imagine what August will be like...

Quite warm on Sunday when I fired up the grill and cooked 40 steaks (t-bone, filet, and NY strips) and 16 burgers for the kids. I was in need of a shower at the end ... dripping wet from the sweat, but a great time was had by all with a few left-overs to boot!

When it gets that hot out I prefer to grill, keeps the house cooler.
