Too Much Smoke?

Another thread got me to thinking about this. I have a 2002 two stroke 90 horse Merc that is oil injected with the reservoir integrated into the motor. It starts easy and runs like a top, but the first start of the day has become a real ramp fogger. It wasn't like that when I bought the rig but I haven't experienced any performance issues at all. Should this be a cause for concern?

Incoop....have you recently switched to a different brand or type of oil? Have you changed the ratio of oil to gas? Did you put Seafoam in recently? Carbon deposits/build-up? You may need a decarb session. Check oil level. If it is too full it might be the reason. Could also be fuel restriction. New plugs, fresh gas may also help.

No way to change ratio as the motor is oil injected. I just fill the reservoir when it gets low. Have always used Quicksilver TCW3 from the local Merc dealer, and gas rarely sits in the tank more than a week. Can't imagine it could be fuel issues since the motor starts easy, runs like a top, and is good out of the hole.
