i just got a minn kota endura 30 for free.
I have a 75 Crestliner 15.5 foot boat. dry is about 850 lbs and probably another 200 for motor. do you think the trolling motor will be able to push/pull it? i know its not ideal, but it was free!:D

I have a 19'6" ProCraft, and I use a Minnkota 55# thrust. I have been quite satisfied with mine. My boat weighs in at around 2000# if not more with weight of my motor. I say use it, and it was free, so what have you got to lose!

A bow mount will do better than a transom mount as long as it could reach the water line:D

The Endura's are great little motors for pond fishing. You'll have problems in the wind. Use it and have fun.
