Took the boat out Saturday...

And had a great time, no problems or issues just a good day on the lake. I realized how perfect my boat is for what I do and I love it.


Just wanted to change it up around here and bring some good news.

Grats on getting out. It has been in the sixties here so no big boating. Can't even take my fishing boat out because the prop shaft is leaking.

Saturday morning my wife and I took off for the Chesapeake bay Bridge tunnel; it grew rough (tropical storm passing by) so we went back across to a quiet river, then the wind laid down and back out to the harbor, fishing, cruising, watching boats and ships and stuff. Saw a submarine going out. Ran about 80 miles according to the odometer. So even though the fish didn't cooperate, the boat ran great; no equipment failure; beverages stayed cool. Weather was in the 80's with a nice breeze (well OK al little too "nice" at one point but we needed to see how the boat handled swells and chop.)

So even though this forum is a great place to discuss problems, thanks, Chris, for reminding us what it's about!

This weekend was great on the east coast this weekend in NC, about the best boating of the summer!

I spent a great evening out on the boat saturday...Made it out just before it got dark went for an awesome moonlight wakeboard...Just a great feeling, lights of the city all around no noise except for the lull of the engine and the sound of my board carving as i jumped 4-6' over the wake (been down all summer cuz i tore some cartilage in my knee the first day i got my boat) so it felt great to be back Then just floated around in the water and drank till about 10:00. Its so relaxing just laying out there on a nice night with lights all around glowing off the water...just ..heaven

I hear that! I pulled an old shoulder wound putting the boat back on the trailer the last day of my vacation in the beginning of July & was out of commission all summer. Carb is off the boat waiting for the rebuild kit now, but I'm hoping to get another few runs out of her before winterizing. Oh well, maybe next year will work out better.
