top water tube gromet QD 18

I am re sealing this QD 18. Plus water pump and looking at the top water tube gromet woundering what the best way is to get the old one out, and install the new one. Might be able to reach it with long needle nose plyers, but what about instalation? Thanks.

I think there was a special tool to install that one.--------Removal ----You might be able to see a hole on the outside of the exhuast housing to push it in and down.

I bought one of the special tools and it didn't work worth a hoot. So I still put them in the old fashioned way, with a couple of long screwdrivers for fingers. One big one to get it somewhere near in position, and another smaller one to poke and prod.

Yeah there is a hole to stick a punch in to remove the grommet. Is it a fun job? Nope, not always. Enjoy! Sometimes they just go in smooth though. Add grease, should help.

Just to follow up, and maybe help someone else, I got it in with the aid of a long 1/4 inch extension, and socket and long needle nose plyers, and punches. Not to bad just takes some paitants. Be sure the tabs on the gromet are aligned with the hole in the side of the case. Thanks everyone for the help.
