aight guy this is the last time i'll bother you for a while.

i have a homebuild composite? plywood with poly on the bottom. it was prevasly kept in the water hence the damage and reparin that i have done.
i want to put a good three coat of topside paint, since i know that i will be running in very shallow water. My question is should i even bother with the topside paint or fork over the extra for sumthin else. I'm going to trailer the boat on roller bunks to launch from the bank. thank you again

u guys are a welth of information and thats y i keep buggin ya

yes, you can use topside paints as long as you don't leave it in the water. however, if your going through shallow waters and rocks, do you really want to go to that expense and trouble? i use tremclad on my boat bottom. i think it's rustoleum in the states. i am on a rocky lake and beach my boat now and then. this way, i can crawl under my trailer now and then and roll on some fresh paint to hide the scratches. and besides, who is going to see it except the fish. just my two cents. good luck.

Thanks so much! I think I'm gonna go with the rustoleum topside paint and see how that works out. One more quick question, do ya'll suggest any particular type of primer? Again thanks a bunch!
