I have a 15 hp johnson electric start J15ELCEC. I broke a woodruff key and the flywheel jammed on the power pack, bending the min. idle screw bracket. I bent everything back and replaced the key and tryed running it again. This time the woodruff key was fine and the fly wheel was tight but it hit again and stalled out the motor. At first I thought the ignition plate was bent but it only hit after a few minnuts of running (not every rotation). Mabe I didn't get the flywheel nut tight enough. Does anyone know the torque specs for the flywheel nut??? Or any other ideas of what could be wrong.

The driveshaft and flywheel should be absolutely dry of lubrication when reconnected and the torque should be 45 to 50 ft lbs according to the service manual.
