I have a 70 HP Johnson that has horrible Tourque Steer. I tried to adjust the skeg? but find it only has a small adjustment. It pulls to the right (I know that is not the nautical term). How sensitive is this adjustment?

move back of the fin to the right, you have to experiment. do you have a bent prop?

it seems some set ups just never lose that torque, teleflex has a no feedback system that eliminates the problem and makes easy steering,if you have a teleflex system ,some of the cables can be reused and mounting holes brackets tec.are the same

Re: torque Steer on 70hp

Had a change to get out in the boat today.. I moved the tail fin to the right and the problem changed directions. I did have the forethought to take the socket wrench with me though. Tied off to the local police fire dock and was able to fine tune the adjustment. All is good now. Thanks for the help.
