I was wondering what kind of tow harness I need to get for my inboard motor. All the tow harnesses that I am seeing say great for outboards What is the difference and I am confused about the length. I see 6 feet 8 feet and 12 feet? I have a 65 foot rope.

Re: tow harness help

You could just get a ski tow eye to install on the deck above your rub rail at the rear or on the transom. It's the fastest and easiest.
If you want to get a harness that attaches to the rear tie down loops they work OK. Get the shortest length as you don't have to clear the engine, just the outdrive.
Iboats sells a flush tow eye.
