The key to keeping a cover on is not whether it has straps, snaps, or both, but rather how it's designed, what the fabric is, how tight it fits, and most importantly, can air get under it. Look at this cover. The nose bra (a separate piece) prevents any air getting under the front edge of the cover. It was made that way so the trolling motor can be left in place when the main cover is installed overnight. There are no other straps and this boat travels at freeway speeds thousands of miles a year. This is the fourth season. The motor cover fits tight and does not mar the finish as the underside of the cover is soft. I should add that I made this cover as have others on this forum.
