Tower mounting bracket help

I am looking at buying a tower for my boat and I need advice on finding mounting hardware for it.

The tower is new but the owner doesn't have the hardware. It is for a Sea-doo Speedster 200 Bombadier but I want to put it on my boat and mount it regular. The tower in question is normally mounted to a bar running horizontally but I doubt that should stop me from mounting it to my boat in a regular fashion.

Any suggestions or which mounting hardware to use? or where to get it?

Thanks

It depends on how thick the glass is on the mounting areas of your boat

In general you need SS hardware and will have to make backing plates to go inside the hull to spread out the load

You also have to REAL SURE that the places you drill through can be reached and do not have wires ect

Check the Monster Tower website. I believe they sell hardware for mounting towers.

Re: Tower mounting bracket help

I checked out the website and they only sell the quick release handle - they will not sell the mounting hardware separate.

I am now thinking of making my own tower, with a friends help who is a metal worker.

Anyone know where I can find some quality drawings that have tower measurements?

Thanks guys -- Site is super helpful

Did you actually call and ask the tower manufacturers? A lot of times they don't advertise that they'll sell that sort of thing but will if you ask.

If you look through the posts here you will find some DIY work examples

One guy had everything bent up at a custom exaust shop and did a nice paint job on it

you can get all of this stuff at your local hardware store. steel backing plate. you can drill yourself, and nuts and bolts. or machine screws, at least 1/4".
