Re: tower on a bayliner?

I am on vacation for the week and will be home sunday night, I will take some pictures and post them on here probably monday. The pole just has a plate screwed to the floor that the pole sits in, then there is a hole drilled in the fiberglass part that riuns between the back seats. It the has a piece of what looks like 3/8" steel bent into a bracket that bolts through the transom on either side of the motor with a U bolt holding the pole and brace together. its pretty darn solid even with it being mounted into rotten plywood at the moment. Like I said it was this way when i got it so I have no idea what brand it is but I am guessing it was purchased back when the boat was pretty new.

Thanks! I appreciate the info.

Re: tower on a bayliner?

well I'm back from my fishing trip and didn't have a chance to get any pictures of the ski pole today, ended up being a very busy day for me, I decided I was going to get this boat on the water this week sometime to make sure its going to be water worthy before putting anymore time into it, I'm sure it will be fine just want to make sure so I spent most of the day getting parts and running other errands but I will try to get pictures of the ski pole the next day or two while I'm working on the boat.

Re: tower on a bayliner?

sorry for the delay I know some of you wanted to see pictures of how my ski pole was mounted. I had some issues with my internet and was without for a few days so here are the pictures I promised from before. also I saw the same pole on another boat this weekend, tried looking to see if it had a brand name or anything on it but it didn't.

As a side note I had the boat out on the lake yesterday and overall it went ok for a boat that hasn't seen use since maybe 06. had a few motor issues but nothing that can't be fixed. going to work the bugs out of the motor hopefully this week then start the rebuild of the boat, I plan to start a thread in the restoration area when I start ripping the rest of the stuff out, you can see in one of these pictures how bad the deck is.
