Re: Towing mirrors....

Every type of slip on mirrors i have tried were not very good. They always vibrate in the wind so much they are useless.
I ended up buying mirrors from a dually Chevy truck that bolted up to the existing mounting holes. They are the kind you can pull out to extend them when needed.Plus they plugged right into the original harness for power and heat.
I bet Dodge has similar mirrors.

Also i had tried the CIPA brand slip on mirrors. They were small and not good at all.I sold them on Ebay..

I think they still make the temp bolt on's that clamp to the fenders also, they are just for towing and can be taken off in just a minute.

I dont think they make a factory tow mirror for your truck.

I like big honkin mirrors!!!

the slide outs would be ideal... I have seen them aftermarket for around $350.00......kinda steep for my budget...

I love my slide out mirrors, yes they are big but rock solid at highway speeds.
They are big and the truck looks like Mickey Mouse with them extended...:D
I can see everything even when towing the camper. They were about 350 though.

There is a company that makes strap on mirrors that are very stable in the wind, but I can't remember the name of the manufacture. They strap on the top and bottom of the door and are strong enough to hang on. If I can rember the name I will post later. Might look on ebay.

The mirrors I was talking about is CIPA door mount towing mirrors. There is a set on EBAY for under $60.

These are the ones like i have. They don't show a set for a Durango but they do for a Ram truck.
If you could find a Ram that is the same year and compare how they mount it may work.
My Tahoe was not listed either but a Chevy pick up the same year was.
I had to modify one hole and they fit perfect.
Also maybe contact Cipa and ask.

To quote one of my favorite lines from "Gumball Rally".."What's behind you, doesn't matter!
But seriously, those Ebay mirrors might be the ticket.
