Tracker motor, Merc, or Force?? Please help

Thanks in advance for those who respond. My<br /> friend just picked up a 98 SunTracker pontoon<br /> boat w/99 50hp Tracker motor. My question is<br /> would this be a true Merc or is it the Force<br /> version? It says Mercury Force Outboard on it.

If it says "Mercury Force", it's a Force.<br /><br />The Merc. engines did not have the word "Force" anywhere.

Does anyone know if the motor only says force on the label on the power head, like this photo and all exterior stickers are mercury, tracker or HP #, is it a force or mercury, what parts do I buy?
