trailer brakes locking during backup

But after backing up then getting out with the truck in park I can hear the solenoid clicking several times (maybe 10-15) then it stops. Is this normal?!
No, that is not normal. With the truck in park, you should not have current to energize the solenoid.

Thats what i was thinking. Gonna have to take another look at it. Supposed to start storming here soon so not sure I will get to it today now. Have a fuel gauge issue now I'm trying to figure out...lol. Will post that in the appropriate section

You can get a manual hydraulic reverse lock out valve to replace the electric one. Just remember to bleed out the brake system when you replace it. Sounds like your electric lock out solenoid is shorted out by the way your blowing fuses.

It was shorted out. Venture tightened the safety chain bolt with the blue solenoid wire pinched. Fixed that and it was fine. It did click a few times afterwards once but didn't notice it after that time. Won't be pulling the trailer again until fall so we will see then.
