I have these axles on my trailer and need to repair one of the axles ! It is leaking grease out the rear grease seal ! In the instruction manual it makes it sound like you have to use their grease seals , as if they are the only ones that will work ? I would like to know if anyone has experience with changing the seals and if they were able to use over the counter seals such as napa brand ? Thx for any info on this !

If I remember correctly from years ago. Bearing Buddy seals are manufactured to a little tighter tolerance. That is their seals are just a wee bit smaller in inside diameter to they fit tighter on the axle (axle bearing surface). It isn't much but a few thousands smaller to help seal better in the rear... However, you maybe could fine such a tighter seal as well OTC too. I have never searched for one myself...

When buying your seals see if you can get double lip seals. They will have a better seal. It could be what UFP uses in theirs. I used to have UFP axles on a different trailer. Liked their products.
