Hey guys, just picked up a new tri hull, but the trailer is junk. Can i use my old trailer is from my V hull? Or do i have to pony up and get a new one?

Are the trailers the same size and or capacity? If so should be doable.

they are roughly the same size and capacity, give or take a foot. I was thinking I could move the rollers around and it should work for the tri hull. Thoughts?

Pics, take some pics of the trailer and the boat, I'm sure if the old and new are similar its doable but whether its financially viable we don't know yet.

Re: trailer conversion?

I changed over a bass boat trailer for my inboard. It took alot of work but it's the best trailer I've ever owned both for towing and launching/retrieving. As stated above, as long as it's the same capacity or a little heavier you should be good. You don't want to use a trailer that's rated much more than your boat as it will pound the boat on the road. If they're both about the same capacity, just match up the rollers or bunks to the original trailer and fine tune it from there.
