Re: Trailer for 33',s
I know wood boats weigh less than fiberglass, but 3200 lbs seems very light. We had a 33' x 12'6" Chris Craft Sedan bridge (1974 fiberglass model) with twin small blocks and it had a dry weight of 12,500 lbs. I can't see the glass boat being 9000 lbs more than a wood version of more or less the same thing. I would say your boat would probably weigh in at 10K lbs or so? If I'm wrong, I appologize, but 3200 lbs sounds way light for a 33' boat of any material!
My neigbor has a 33' Cruiser Inc express on a trailer. The trailer looks to be custom, and he has the oversized load banners when towing, but does it twice a year and goes at least 15-20 miles (possibly a lot more) to the shore with it.
I would do some research on the boats weight, and the rules for towing something that large. The bridge model might need that removed before transport as well, which is not the easiest task!
