I have a 2006 tracker pro team 175 and just recently realized the axle is bent on the trailer in the middle. I took it to get looked at and the marina told me that it is suppose to be like that and I have nothing to worry about. Can anyone tell me if theirs is the same way?

which way is it bent?
some axles are arched and designed to flex as the load increases.

Re: Trailer Help

It is arched or bent up towards the boat, center of the axle. I dont remember seeing this when I bought the boat. I will post a few pics when I get the boat back.

Re: Trailer Help

The axle on my trailer has a slight V shape to it, or bent down slightly in the middle. It's a new trailer so I would assume this is normal.

Mine is the same way. It is a 99. I'll take a pic tonight and post it tomorrow.

if its bent down towards the middle thats not normal......thats overloaded...
if it arches up towards the middle then thats normal. (Axles are cambered or 'road set' so there is a bow until weight is put on the axle. All cambered axles should be mounted with the center bow up....

but im assuming yours is v'd like this?
axles20drop20saddle20grey20OVER20SM.jpg
if so then thats normal, its made that way to allow the boat to sit much lower in the trailer.

Yeah, the 2nd photo is correct, more or less. If the axle wasn't bent the bottom of the boat would hit it.
